What Are The Design Features of the 2022 Grand Wagoneer?
The Grand Wagoneer comes in four different trim levels, the Series I, Series II, Series III, and Obsidian. The exterior features a chrome-accented grille with either 20 or 22-inch wheels, making for a strong presence on the road. It also features specialty badges indicating the trim level, as well as a signature “Wagoneer” badge with an American flag motif. The front windows are made from acoustic laminated glass, and a three-pane panoramic sunroof is standard on upper trim levels. Inside, the Wagoneer comes with standard bucket seats in the second row, though those can be swapped out for a bench seat to accommodate up to eight passengers. Nappa leather-trimmed upholstery comes standard, with premium quilted Palermo leather and real walnut wood accents found on upper trim levels like the Series III. Additional features include ambient LED interior lighting with customizable colors, power-deploying side steps, and a front console cooler bin.
What About the Tech and Safety Features?
The Grand Wagoneer provides a highly accommodating standard safety package, making it an ideal choice for families on the go. Just a few of the standard features include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane-departure warning, and automatic emergency braking. Some of the advanced features standard on upper trim levels include night vision with pedestrian and animal detection, drowsy driver detection, and traffic sign recognition. All in all, there are over 120 different safety features to choose from. In terms of entertainment, the Grand Wagoneer notably offers a state of the art 23-speaker Reference Entertainment System in an industry-exclusive partnership with McIntosh. There’s also an on-board Wi-Fi hotspot, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and wireless smartphone integration through the new Uconnect 5 infotainment system. The front dashboard also has an available Front Passenger Interactive Display, a second touchscreen for the front passenger to control their own music, navigation, and more. For the driver, there’s a 12-inch touchscreen joined by a 10.25-inch digital cluster gauge.
How Powerful is the 2022 Grand Wagoneer?
Each trim level of the Grand Wagoneer features the powerful 6.4-liter V8 engine paired with an energy-efficient TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain provides the Grand Wagoneer with a hefty 471 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque. The Grand Wagoneer also features standard 4-wheel drive using either the Quadra-Trac I, Quadra Trac II, or Quadra-Drive II transfer cases. When fitted with the available trailering package, its maximum towing capacity is a whopping 9,860 pounds, and it can also ford up to 24 inches of water with the help of its Quadra-Lift Air Suspension. The Grand Wagoneer also offers an Advanced All-Terrain Group to make it even more off-road ready, and the package includes hill-descent control, underbody skid plates, chrome tow hooks, and the Selec-Terrain Traction Management system which improves traction in conditions like mud, snow, sand, and more.
